UX Design Projects

Work shown in this section was made as part of my Master's candidacy at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and personal spec work. Examples include demonstrations of skills in ideation, iteration, research, and delivery.

Switchback is a hiking app developed in a graduate Design Lab at MICA. The brief was to create a well-researched and human-centered hiking app. Contributors include Brittany Saul, Brittany Davis, and Ayana Jones.

Within the context of a graduate-level Usability class, this project was a mock usability test that was done in a group working under the scenario that Expedia had hired us to improve their website usability. Contributors incl. Mira Etingof, Matt Sawina, and LiAnn Ishizuka.

This is a complete mock case study of a proposed redesign of Procreate's Community forum, ProcreateFolio. Within the constraints of a graduate level Prototyping class, this project consisted of a start-to-finish UX process including ideating, solving, iterating and implementing.

In MICA's introductory UX Design class, the final was to create a complete case study throughout the semester. For this case study of RV rental platform Outdoorsy, I took deliberate steps to accurately and clearly show my research as well as prototype iterations.

05

In an Industry Tools class at MICA, I was exploring existing open-source design systems as a resource for my own UI design work. EatLocal is a fictional food delivery app with a bright and friendly aesthetic, so I leveraged Material Design by Google to build this custom system.
